[O'Neal, Kevin W.] No loss at all. My friends fiancée went to see
Page the night after we all saw the Who at Nissan, and said the show
absolutely sucked (particularly in comparison). This coming from a *major*
Zep fan. Also, only 5,000 tix were sold. Lawn seat folk were allowed to
move up to front rows of the 200's sec.

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] OK, now you can be bummed. Very bummed.

	[O'Neal, Kevin W.] Not true. Don't take it so personally. I don't
think you can pin it on TED.

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] Why all for nothing??? You've got the money.
What about Albuquerque?? What about Denver??
Hell, put your money into a peanuts fair air flight and hit MSG or
Atlanta, or Cleveland, or Dallas, or Houston.
My point here is, if there is the will there is the way. This is
your shot Lorin!!! Grab that golden ring!! Seize the Day!!
Take the big adventure!!!! What about a grand trip to London???
*That* would be a memory!!!
Don't fret about Tix. If you need advice, talk to Derick, or Magic.
Those guys scored great tix, all (well not all) at the last moment, like
minutes before the show started.
Come on SuperLorin, don't be afraid to fly by the seat of your
pants!!! Need a ride, ask someone. Need help with directions and plans,
ask someone. Need time off from work but the boss won't let you go, kill
the bastard. Can't get away from School, play Hooky! Do what ever it
takes. You'll regret it if you don't.
	Just my 2 little pennies.

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] For the three shows I've seen, John has been
smiling, laughing, kicking beach balls, throwing picks at people, winking,
jumping (Boston, I kid you not.......ok, small little John jump), lunging
across stage to tell Rog a joke, talking to the crowd, making jokes about
his X, rolling his eyes, breathing..............Oh yeah, and playing the
shit out of his bass like no other person alive on this great big blue
(turning grayer) planet of ours.
Praise be to the all mighty OX!

	[O'Neal, Kevin W.] Hmmmmmmm. I don't know if I would want the
entire album to go the route of pop/rap (for lack of better description). I
know I was one of those that stated they should explore this, but for The
Who I *think* I'd rather see a mix with some Jazz/driving rock. Blend it
all together. I don't know though. Ever since reading Rog's most recent
interview where he did confirm that they are indeed writing while on the
road, I've been trying to imagine what a future Who album will be
about.......lyrical content wise. What are they writing about????? What is
happening to them that will interest us, *AND* interest less rabid fans??
What words of wisdom or guidance do they have to offer?? What does Rog have
to offer lyrically???
I've been listening to IH and FD allot lately to re-aquaint myself
with their most recent works. I come away feeling sympathy for Pete, cause
damn it....................it *IS* hard.
I just don't want to see an entire album filled with rapping. I dig
the "hip hop" beat and all the futuristic sounds on WAY Gateway mix, and
even like the rap. Just don't over do it. A little smattering, ok, but
that's it.
They definitely need to keep John in the mix. He'll keep them
grounded and 'in tune' with their roots.
The theme should definitely be a unity theme. Let's bring it all
together. "Came from the 60's, up through the 90's".
A blend of good 'ol driving violent/angry rock with some Jazz and
also the modern appeal. Talk about what's relevant. Racial issues,
Environment, Peace, Technology, Youth violence, un-seen dreams of the 60's,
.................
The season seems to be ripe for a unity theme between the 60's
generation (which I feel very much apart of due to my fathers age and past
battles with him) and the new rap oriented generation (the 60's generations'
kids).
If there ever was a band that can do it, it's THE WHO!
