it is true that rog said he would give up the who to get pete off drugs but 
watch the 82 farewell concert.  they had fun durin that show.  the problem 
was unlike 79-80 they didnt have the same sound.  they disagreed about the 
loudness of john's bass.  pete looked awful and kenny's drumming did not have 
the same intensity.  watch the thirty  yrs maximum r&b video and look at the 
79 performance for the concerts for kampuchea behind blue eyes on the 79 
chicago set with pinball wizard.  those were great and kenny played like a 
madman whalin away. in 81-81 it seemed in my opinion he just sat there and 
played.
