It's a sold-out show where I am. But some of that may just be that
Detroit loves The Who. I heard about the concert first from my local
radio station, *not* from either of the Who lists I subscribe to,
which says something. They announced when the tickets would go on
sale frequently. They have been promoting it for several months,
such as reminding people about the concert every time they play a
Who song. And last weekend they declared a "Who weekend", played
lots of songs, and gave away CDs, videos, and a few tickets to the
sold-out show, with the grand prize being both tickets and a limo to
get you there.
