history (D):	tries to get by by putting on an act . . .
art (D):		retarded artistically.  idiotic in other respects . . .
music (B-):	great ability, but must guard against tendency to show off . . .
P.E. (C+):	keen at times, but "goonery" seems to come before everything . . .

comments from his "Form Master" at Alperton Secondary School for Boys (so it
says on his report card):

His behaviour is rather young for his age.  His air of perky spriteliness,
while refreshing for a time, is, i feel, largely put on for effect.  It is
time he adopted a different line.
