Pete's Musical Training

Actually, I read that Pete finally learned to read music when helping to put
together the Broadway Tommy shows.  For most of the Who's career, John was
the only one who had any formal musical training and could read music.

As for Art school, they did teach things that encouraged creativity and
expression, which carried over into much of Pete's work over the years.  But
you are right, it was definitely not a music school.
