Deathy Mouse,
You are absolutely correct. CB and CB were true founding fathers. I just
didn't think they had the whirl wind impact that came afterward. Really you
could go all the way to the great blues men that everybody copied and got
rich off of.

Regarding ICSFM there are two things I think of whenever I hear that song.
     1. PT uses a one note lead through the entire song. And in my mind it
works
really well. Not bad for a power chord bloke.
     2. During the bridge KM's drums sound like machine gun fire. I do not
know if it
is humanly possible to play any faster. But I am not a drummer.

Not trying to change your opinion about the song. Just sharing my thoughts.

I.S,
If you haven't already, try and find a copy of "Tommy Live At Leeds" by
midas touch records. It is on CD. It is a very good recording of the Tommy
portion of the same show.

Day Tripper,
With a handle like yours I can see how you would attract the less attractive
side of the Who list family. I appreciate your advice.

Lisa,
I took your comments to heart some time back. And the more I think about it
the more I agree with you.

I joined this listing because I consider it an opportunity to stop my life
for a while and think about some things I have really enjoyed. No work, no
hassles, just the Who.
but I can get just as aggravated as the next person when I read something I
totally disagree with on the listing. My first instinct as a human is to
strike back.

However, I try and do it in a friendly debate fashion. Exchanging opinions
in a civilized fashion. I will never call anybody a name on this list, we
all have our own opinions. There is no point in dragging things down into
the gutter.

Rhonda was only on this list for about a week and she was driven off. Not
because people didn't agree with her, but because of the way they did it.
It's too bad because she knew her Who.

One of the toughest things to do in life is change someone's mind.
Especially about music. Have you ever tried talking to someone about
something you liked and all of a sudden their eyes start glazing over?

Enough for now.

     J.
