Some people do find his sound washy and I know people who think he is
an aquired taste. I just think that the "Bob Mould = bad = opening acts 
are a waste of time" argument is flawed and unfair. I'm not suggesting
that this was your argument--something like it was out there.

Equating the enjoyment of a singer with the choosing of a drug lifestyle 
is a bit odd and harsh. I see your point, but I guess what I mean is a 
recommendation from Pete (which is essentially what Bob Mould's appearance
was) is to me a consideration moreso than a recommendation from David Lee
Roth (as you mention below) would be. :-)
