Pete on WBCN in Boston

This morning WBCN in Boston is having a "Totally Townshend"
morning.  They've been playing Who and Pete stuff all morning
and giving stuff away.

At 8:00am Pete called and talked live to Charles Laquidara.
Pete was in London at the time and sounded cheerful.  He said
he got together with Roger yesterday afternoon and spent most
of the day with him basically discussing both of their futures.

Apparently there is a wire report out today that Pete will not
make any more albums and will concentrate on Broadway musicals
and plays and such.  Pete said he was misquoted and what he 
actually said to the interviewer was that he doesn't currently
have a record contract with anyone and doesn't plan to sign one
any time soon. He did NOT say that he will never make an album
again, and he said that he's been in the studio playing around.
He actually met with Roger yesterday in his studio.

Pete said he had doubts about the DST shows but is very pleased
that Rogers' shows are getting great reviews.

Pete mentioned that he spent most of the summer sailing but his
son is back in school now and he gets up and drives his son to
school every morning "just like lots of you are probably doing
right now" he said.

Charles asked him if he remembered getting high together in a
limo many years ago and Pete said no, but he thinks they shared
a girlfriend once (laughs).

Pete said that he plans to attend the Tommy show at the Wang
Center on November 8th as Tommy makes it's return to Boston. 
Charles said they should do breakfast together and Pete agreed.

I had no idea that this was going to be on today and it made
for a great commute to work.  It looks like I'll have to get
tickets to see Tommy again on the 8th!
