Re: Pitino or Walker

Pitino has proven that he can take a awful NBA team and make them bad (which I
guess is a step up). I'm not sure that Pitino ball is a "championship-type"
of ball, but I do know one thing defense wins championships. If Pitino can
keep young players that are good defenders. That way we can run Ricks offense
and play solid NBA defense (that is modified zone D) then the Celtics can
raise another banner. I'm not thrilled with Mashburn. That guy is washed up.
He was never that great. Just another tweener in the NBA. We already have
one of those with McCarty, we don't need another. Just my thoughts.

Just curious, Pitino has proven what over his NBA coaching carreer? His
playoff history as a coach? The Knicks had their doubts about his coaching
ability / philosophy...yes? No red flags went up last year? Everybody
convinced Pitino-ball is the way to go deep into the playoffs? Everybody
happy with the offense, or was that all just Walker's fault? Everybody
thrilled about Pitino's apparent obsession with getting Mashburn? Will the
system make Mashburn a better player? Just curious?
