Re: Half a whole; Who's Left

> You probably understood the music first,
you could care less if Roger wears a shirt or not.

Sandy:

No probably about it. It was LAL which made them my favorite band, after Tommy peaked my interest. It was definitely the music. You must consider that back then bands got very little television time and there was no MTV or Internet to allow us to get information. I didn't know what The Who actually looked at until (in 1970) I got a B&W poster of them performing live.

>In 1983, Pete said *he* was quitting The Who & that the remainder of the band had his full permission to continue on & even use the name.

Scott:

That's like saying "You guys go ahead and play, but I'm taking the football home." Let's talk reality here. No Pete, no chance of a Who. They were broken up, and apparently YOU were the only one who didn't know it.

>But what's the real difference between art and
entertainment? Just a doubt...

Leandro:

I'd say that entertainment is something that amuses or entertains but doesn't not go deep. Doesn't affect your soul. Art, on the other hand, reaches you and perhaps even changes the way you percieve. At least those definitions fit for me. A semi-Who live show would be really cool, might be a great memory you'll carry for your life as a very happy time, but it wouldn't change your life. Tommy, Quad...they changed my life.
