Chop?
Chunks?
Dead Trees?
Axe?

Oh my.
We Vermonters are laughing at you!
(not really)

Chop: Vermont has these things called...ummm....Wood Splitters! ;-)
I know their expensive, but find a couple of friends to go 3-way with you (Enter Scott's patented "Hey Now!"). The damn things end up standing around the majority of the year, anyways.

Chunks?" You mean "blocks", right? Come on Jim! You're letting your rookieness show!

Dead Trees?: Harvest some live mature trees. Don't be afraid. Much more heat there, and opening up the canopy will allow new growth. It's part of good forest management.

Axe?: Come on Colorado! Don't make the wife use an Axe! Go buy yo self a good Mawl. They're heavier, but you save much more energy by letting the weight of the Mawl split that wood, instead of your poor wife's arms.

You are using a chainsaw, aren't you?
Or does Colorado still use the two person 'push-me-pull-you' wood saws?? ;-)

8 cords all stacked and ready to go.
Ski trails all cleared and ready too.
Saw Warren Miller's "Journey" Saturday.

Bring on the big snow!
