I'm the one that's sorry. You should reconsider, and get your ass out of
your funk.

>The majority of people
>have made up their mind. Pete's a pedophile.

Who are these majority people?
Even a poll just posted on O&S shows that 45% of those polled feel the
press is treating Pete unfairly. That's a far cry from the "99% of
people...bla, bla, bla" that Rich was talking about.
The other 55% feel they are. Hell, I really don't have a problem with the
way the press is treating Pete.
It seems pretty even handed.
It's the police *I'm* pissed at.

>They'll eventually walk away, their opinion of "Pete the pedophile"
>unaltered. I will have failed.

No, you're (and Rich) not being a defeatist. My mistake.

>Yes, that made me feel good to. I sincerely hope that kind of thinking
>catches on.

Dude! We just saw 3-4 articles in a row written by the press, reaching
100's of thousands of people, speaking kindly of Pete, and holding
judgment.
What are you looking for, The Queen to knight him now?

>Kevin, I think what Rich is trying to say is that most of the masses
>*aren't* like you....or us. They *don't* listen to differing views.
>They *don't* talk with many people. They *don't* read every article.

What Rich was saying is that most of the masses don't think or even
contemplate stuff.
If it's written, or stated, or shown on TV, they...will...listen.
People are *not* that bad.

>They *enjoy* seeing someone humiliated (like reality T.V.). They get
>to make jokes. Celebrity downfalls make them feel better about them-
>selves. And they nurture that feeling.

This I agree with. But, it doesn't mean that if shown they were wrong
that they won't reconsider their position.

>They don't want to admit they might've been wrong. They don't want to
>admit they might've jumped to conclusions. That's not fun. Let's
>crack jokes, instead. Let's all just have a good laugh.

UGH!
You and Rich should get a room.

>I'm afraid Rich is just being a realist.

Bull..fucking...great balls of Shit.
I don't want any part of Rich's reality then.
I've run into too many good people.
Is the Mid-west really *that* bad?

Funny, right after Rich's and my exchange came 4 articles stating support
for Pete and that it looks like people were jumping to conclusions.
Why do you just want to ignore that?
Talk about head in sand.
You're afraid, so it's easier to just give up than to fight.
You don't believe that headlines of..
"PETE EXONERATED !" will get people's attention? You don't believe then
that people will change their minds in the face of that statement?

I'm sure now you'll say that such a headline will never happen even if
true. I'm not so sure now.
The press seems to have taken sides....split down the middle.
Whoever is right, is gonna shout it out.

Come back at me...both you and Rich with you pessimism. It won't affect
me. Bully on you.
Damn, I may even pray for you. ;-)

>One of your hard-fought-for American dollars
>might've gone to "those people." Or one of mine. Or, Jon, one of yours.
>We gave money to a child porn ring. Chew on *that* for a little bit.

Ultimately a small price to pay to help develop a strategy for attack.

Try and stay away from the Jeager tonight.
