A comment on Mr. Cohen's article:

Sorry, but this is completely wrong. Townshend was saying "Who are you to
say that the old rockers are boring old farts." Which IS what the Pistols
(and other Punk rockers) were saying at the time, and Pete took it
personally. THAT is what the song is about, and it has nothing to do with
"Who are we." That's so far off the mark it's pathetic.
