Is it that the reissues aren't selling, or

I believe that's the problem as far as Polydor is concerned. As for
Trinifold's reluctance, your guess is as good as mine.

I happen to agree with you, actually. If an official release of Dylan's
Manchester show by Columbia/Sony was, in fact, thwarted by this theft
then, besides being a criminal act, it was also very uncool.

I don't want to start a war on boots vs.

Same here. Unfortunately, my NEED to hear as much music as possible by The
Who and certain others, exceeds the GREED of the legit record industry to
make more of it available. .

Far as bootlegging

I definitely respect your point of view on this issue, although I believe
that the only real damage done by bootlegs is to the buyer's pocketbook.
Personally speaking, I'd rather spend 50 bucks on a fine quality boot like
Live At Leeds Complete than on most of the dreck that the legit labels are
trying to force me to spend my money on by cracking down so hard on
bootlegging ( as opposed to actual "pirating"). But, that's just me.

Good point. However, if the R.I.A.A. succeeds in their futile campaign to
wipe-out all means of distribution for music not sanctioned by the labels,
then there will be nothing to "goad" them into releasing further archival
recordings of this nature.
