Re: The Violent Side boot

Mick, re:

>I have a chance to get the Violent Side 2-CD boot. I believe it is their
Woodstock show and the Young Vic concert. My question is this: I have the
vinyl "Starring The Who" Woodstock boot and a (kind of hissy) cassette copy
of the Vic Young show. Should I lay out 40+ bucks for the CD? Does anyone
know how the Woodstock recordings compare?

There are several "Woodstock" boots on CD, (ie "The Woodstock Box" [good
quality], "Live In Woodstock-69" [azimuth problems--the highs cut in and
out], "Starring The Who" [slightly off speed--otherwise good quality]) and
"The Violent Side"... Unfortunately, this one is split up into 2 CDs, but
seems to have the best sound quality of the Woodstock CD boots (slightly).
The "Young Vic" tracks are throwaways as these apparently were knocked off of
the CD boot of the same, but now with lessor sound quality than the first...

So... if you have a pitch control, go for "Starring The Who", if not, buy
this one...
