On a 16 inch wheel, he should be looking at a 205/45 16.....a 205/40 (if
they even make one) is like having a 205/40 17 so you are not gaining any
driveability. Also, the GLX has a 205/50 15, so a plus size that will
maintain the ratio would be a 205/45 16 (up one and down one...). As for
width, I would stay 205 unless you want to get into rolling fenders and
possibly spacers (to clear coils..). The difference between the actual
contact patch of a 205 vs. a 215 is barely noticable. This is of course if
the car is not at the stock ride height...
