Actually, you won't lose enough swept area to be noticeable, unless you just 
go hog-wild with the drill...

I've driven both stock and x-drill/slots. There's a difference in feel after 
you heat the brakes up sufficiently to begin fade. Obviously, it takes much 
longer with the added cooling. That said, it also takes much less time to 
reverse the effects, because of the added cooling. It's a good mod, and like 
Chadwick says, it looks cool....
