RE: Brake upgrade advice



There is only like a $10 buck difference between tires...
I dunno about anyone else, but Kuhmo's cost $89 for 16's where I live.  The
weight is so minimal on a road track you are not going to tell (if your
actually driving fast).  It all boils down to preference tho.  If you prefer
15's then it is all good.. but on the other hand, if a 15 was actually
better that a 16 or 17+ then most road racers/touring cars would be running
on 15's.. as we know.. that is not the case.  if you were a drag racer, then
that may make a nice difference.
FWIW the last time I was out on the track with 17's, no one with smaller
wheels beat me, even the stock m3's.

You will also have higher unsprung weight and more expensive tire in the 16
in size.  I still say to try a good set of dedicated track pads first.
