Re: Fuel Level / Check Engine Light

Abe,

Did you happen to leave the car running while you filled up? I had a couple
of friends with me the other day when I had to stop for gas. Since we're all
ready hitting the 90s here in Dallas, I thought that I'd be nice and leave
the car on with the AC on. Shortly after I got out my friend turned off the
car and proceeded to enlighten me on how I could have screwed up the gas
guage if I had actually filled the tank up with the car on. He said that
there's something in the manual about this. Another friend, who drives a
GTI, had his CE light come after he left his car runnning while filling up.
He's taking his car to the dealer later this week, so I'm hoping to hear
what they say the problem is.

Hope that this helps, somehow.

Later,
Bri...
