Re: [gtivr6list] 1.8T Cabrio?



Thanks Phil for some advance info on the 2001's from the dealer's 
perspective.  It generally seems to track with what the auto mags 
said that VW said when they tested the 2000 GTI VR6's and 1.8T's.
	The new "sport luxury" suspension ought to be just the ticket 
for those of us who want decent handling with a reasonably 
comfortable ride; the 2000's are already pretty good.  It will be 
nice not to have to start installing suspension parts or wheels which 
is a waste when you just paid VW for these parts.
	Of course, from earlier experience with VW, what they 
actually ship may vary some from preliminary announcements.  I recall 
seeing the advance spec list on my GTI VR6 which was mostly, but not 
exactly, what they shipped.
