3/23 Lime Rock track day

Chris Pagoto, Jeff Atwood, and I recently got the chance to drive our 
cars at Lime Rock Raceway at Lime Rock, CT. It was the first time any 
of us had driven on a real racetrack. One helluva day I must say.

Highlights:
-Ferrari 360 Modena! took it "easy" on us :)
-Mitsu Lancer Evo V (yes, a REAL one)! unbelievable car--F A S T as hell
-Ford GT40 race replica
-Porsche Speedster replica
-Dodge Viper R/T
-many, many others....C5 Corvettes, 911 Turbos, Audi S4, and a *sick* 
Geo Metro (!!) that kept pace with pretty much every car out there...

We learned so much that day. Well worth the $200 price of admission. 
One guy even brought a RENTAL car!

Oh, and a little info about the cars we took:

Mine: 97 Jetta GLX, Windsor Blue, G-chip v10, P-flo, H&R coilovers, 
stock rubber, Zimmerman x-drilled rotors w/ Mintex Redbox pads
Chris Pagoto: 96 Jetta GLX, Candy White, G-chip v11, swiss cheese 
airbox w/ K&N, Shine Real Street suspension, Pirelli P700z, stock 
rotors w/ Metalmaster pads
Jeff Atwood: 98 GTI VR6, Ginster Yellow, G-chip v11, Schrick VGi, 
Ground Control coilovers w/ Koni dampers, stock rubber, stock brakes

One thing I have to say--the coilovers ROCK! Even with the G(od) 
A(wful)'s, I was passing cars, including Chris's and Jeff's, all day 
long (and I got video tape to prove it hehehe). Yeah, they squeal 
like a hawg, but they're not as bad as one would think, on a track 
that is.

Mucho thanks to Allison, Chris's other half, for the cinematography, 
and for putting up with us all day. Hopefully soon we'll get some of 
the video highlights out on Realvideo or something.

BTW if by chance the guy with the black A3 GTI VR6 is reading this, 
how the f*ck were you able to going around the track like that so 
goddamn fast?? Either you are an insane driver, or you had some 
serious work done to the car (looked very stock I must say though).
