Re: got beat this morning

All I remember was reading about an early 90s Volvo T5 wagon. A 17" wheel shod
wagon that would bounce readily off it's speed-limiter set at 155mph. That
engine was Volvo's oh-so-sweet 5-cylinder Turbo pumping out around 260HP if I
remember correctly. I don't know for sure what the T6 is, but a Turbo-6 is
likely. The standard 6 cylinder pumps out 200HP so a T-version could be scary.

Ahh .. forget the above paragraph, I just had a brain swell .. I checked
Volvo's web site. According to this .. the S80 (second car I checked specs on)
is available with:
-----
Transversely-mounted, 2.8 liter, six-cylinder, double overhead cam twin
exhaust-driven turbochargers with intercooler
-----

The nubers are:
268HP @ 5400 RPM and
280ft/lbs @ 2100 RPM

The official model designation is the S80 T6 so I guess that that is what you
went up against.

Wow ... must really suck getting beaten by a Volvo. :-)
