Based on my experience the check engine light comes on (not always,
to be sure, but quite often) because there is an air leak in the fuel
system.
Are you sure you tightened your gas cap until it "clicks"? If not,
you need to tighten it all the way. Otherwise, you probably have to
take it in.
There is nothing else that I know of that you can do other than to
tighten the gas cap.
If you do that and it doesn't turn out the light within 48 hours,
then you need to go to the dealer for a fix.
