Re: Wrong attitude

I drove a GLS VR6 that showed up at the dealership in my area. I was not
overly impressed. The engine seemed to have a bit more low-end punch, but
it seemed to start running out of breath by about 4000 rpm's. Also, there
was a lag in the response of the electronic throttle. This was very
apparent when I was cruising at about 35 in 3rd gear, & I floored it when I
got some clear road. I would say that it took a full second to respond to
that input. To be fair, it did seem that this car was used for extensive
testing & had probably been abused. However, the other gripe I have is that
the seats are not as supportive as the ones in my car. VW seats seem to
have become less supportive with time. My favorite (and the most
supportive) VW seats of all time are the ones in my friend's A1 GTI.

Let's hope that things improve with time, and/or my experiences prove to be
the exception rather than the rule.
