LeMans

Congrats is in order for AUDI/VW. They took third & fourth in the 24-hours of LeMans. The most demanding endurance race, and AUDI places on the podium IN THEIR FIRST YEAR OF COMPETITION!! Congrats to BMW, the number 1, and condolences to MBZ, who lost all their cars in the race, including one in spectacular airborne fashion. For all who didn't see it, it is amazing how the CLK-GTR just took off from the ground at close to 200mph. A small pocket of air (careful when you're drafting) fouled up the aerodynamics, making a greater difference in velocity between the top and underside of the car, lifting it into the air. It flipped four times and turned around, impacting the ground backwards about 150 yards from where it took off. The driver got out and was sitting next to the car when the crash crew arrived. Amazing.
