If your muffler fell out of the hanger (as mine has done before), the sound 
you hear would definitely not be classified as a squeak.  It would be more 
of a clunking / rattling noise (as the tailpipe rubs against the rear apron 
because it is loose).

It seems unusual that the squeak only occurs during acceleration.  
otherwise, the most common source of squeaks for jettas (in my humble 
opinion) is the rear split-folding seats.  If it's the seats, just spray the 
joints with a lubricant.
