Me too. I don't think they'll ever make M3 4door cars. I think 
they're saving that for the M5, but hey, I'll be the first to admit 
I'm talking out of my ass (just guessing).

Anyhow, I too am considering upgrading to an M3 coupe. The car just 
looks WICKED.

Speaking of upgrades, I've done some thinking about the topic. 
Specifically, I was asking myself-- if someone gave me x amount of 
money to spend on a car, what would I buy?

Here are my answers. I'm not doing this to start a flame war, so keep 
the flames down. Just a mature, reasonable discussion about price, 
performance, and driving pleasure.

$0 - 25K  VW Jetta VR6 or VW GTI VR6
$25 - 50K BMW M3 Roadster/Coupe
$50-75K Porsche Carrera 4
$75-100K Lotus Esprit
$100 - $150K Ferrari. Pick one.
$150K+ - Lamborghini
