Now that some parts of the US are finally enjoying cold weather we have
been having problems with misfire codes. Apparently it is due to thick oil
and cold weather.   I would watch the viscosity of oil you are using.  This
week in NJ there has been nothing but a rash of frozen door locks and
misfire codes.  To fix the problem we change the oil and switch to 5w30.
The OBDII is very sensitive especially to engine misfires. The wrong
viscosity can cause a intake valve to hold a split second too long and
cause a MIL to come on.
