Re: Oil Viscosities





I believe (thought this may be the voice of incidental ignorance
speaking) that the firstnumber is what kind of oil it will act like
cold, and the second is the oil it will act like when hot.  SO, acting
like a 50 weight oil when hot is actually better than 40 weight.
