Re: BMVW!?

Hey List,

     Here's my prediction for the next headline in the mergermania saga: 
VW takes over Porsche.  This is more probable than VW taking over BMW, 
since the controlling Quandt family is reluctant to sell, and they would 
be even more unwilling to sell to VW.  They'd probably sooner sell to 
Ford than VW.

     However, since Chairman Piech is part of the Porsche family and 
Porsche has always had affiliations with VW, a Porsche-VW merger is most 
likely.  

     You heard it here first! ;-)
