I had a problem with my right front window also.
The cable kept slipping off, and it would make a 
grinding sound when I tried to roll it up.
The dealer replaced the entire motor no-
questions asked.  Of course my car was still 
under warranty.  If your car is under warranty 
they should replace it if they can't fix it.
(besides, what kind of warranty is on your 
car right now?)
