Subject: Fun VW drive yesterday...

Guys,

Thanks to Brian Koder for putting together a great drive yesterday! We had
sunny weather and cool temperatures and 7 cars showed up. Five of them were

black, once again proving black is the coolest color. Total attendance: 1
MK4 GTI GLX luxo cruiser, 2 Jetta GLX grocery getters, 1 Corrado G60, and 3
GTI VR6's. :) Lots of gravel on the roads kept speeds down, well, sorta...

Lee Jacobs new mountain home was about 2/3 of the way through the drive, and

when we arrived he had lunch and refreshments ready for us! Thanks again to

Lee for being so gracious to invite us to his home.

I let Trish's husband Andy drive my car through the twistiest and fastest
part of the drive. That man has some serious skills. We pushed the SHINE
suspension to its limits (remember the little fishtail and recovery at
65mph,
Andy?) and the Dunlop SP5000's proved themselves as a VERY worthy all season

choice.

The funniest parts of the day were watching Jesse Witt's dog run (ask Jesse
for details) and watching Garrett Lyon popping up out of the sunroof of his
brother's G60 Corrado at highway speeds to videotape all of us behind him!
