BENZ + 40K = quiet
VW + Mexico + 22K = squeaks

I do, however, feel your pain.  My roommate has a 2000 Jetta GLS VR6 that is so
quiet.  And my brother has an M3 that is the same way.  My car, is never gonna be
that way.
