Re: Missed shifts and secondgear.



The clutch will not necessarily get slower as the hydraulic mechanism begins
to wear out.  Instead, the clutch will simply not disengage fully.  At
first, this will only be noticeable when you try to shift fast.  As it wears
further, you will have difficulty shifting into any gear (especially 1st,
2nd, & reverse) regardless of how fast or slow you shift.

If the clutch checks out OK, then your 2nd gear syncro is starting to wear
out.  If this is the case, give a little pause before engaging 2nd gear in
order to make the syncro last as long as possible.
