Missed shifts and secondgear.

I have been noticing some strangeness in my 95 GLX, some times when
shifting in to second I will apparently miss and grind. Is it possible
for the hydraulic clutch to get slower over time? I have never been able
to quickly change gears without some problem or the other. Perhaps the
trany is getting old and worn. Any ideas would be appreciated.

On the side, is VW putting v6's in the passat wagons yet? I thought they
were but I heard differently.
