I was really really REALLY REALLY going to keep my mouth shut about
this.

But come on.  Let's face facts.  If everyone just IGNORED the posts that
offended them, they'd go away.  That's the nature of the beast.

Now, as for reading the posts to your children, you can just explain to
them that some people in the world don't consider their words before
they get them out of their mouths (or onto the keyboard, as it were). 
If your children are old enough to understand what the words mean, they
(assumedly) will understand the previous statement.

Anyway.  That's my 2 cents.  If everyone just let the matter drop, drop
it would.
