     I hit a deer over a year ago in upstate NY, and the resonator 
just conveniently snapped off.  It's a very effective means of 
removing it, although not the easiest (nor cheapest!).  But I don't 
think it's one piece; it seems like there should be a clamp before the 
thing connects to the airbox.  However, it seems to be very very 
difficult to remove.
