South Fla repair shops?

Hello there,

I've been lurking for awhile thinking about possibly getting a used Jetta 
or Passat GLX. Found a couple that look like possibilities, but would 
like to have them checked out before jumping. Would anyone happen to know 
of a good independent shop in South Florida (Ft. Lauderdale/Pompano 
area)? I've owned VW's before, but have never been very satisfied with 
any of my many dealership experiences.
