Re: Traction Control

Funny that you should mention this, Tom. The traction control has never
engaged in my 95 GLX either. I even tested it by driving the car with one
wheel on a wet pavement and the other on dry but no dice. I took it to the
dealer about a year ago to have them check it out and the dealer came back
saying my car was not equipped with TC!! Just one other case of dealers
and a reputable one at that) either not knowing their sh*t or trying to
give me a bs answer. Of course when I contacted VWOA they told me that if my
car was a GLX it indeed would be equipped with TC (duh!) but they would
contact the dealer any way . Two days later I get a call from the dealer
saying they must've made a mistake and they would be happy to check it out
for me again . Supposedly everything checked out fine. Imho, VW advertising
that p.o.s. traction control on its brochures borders on false advertising.

Oh and while I'm in my complaining mode :) does it come as a surprise to
anyone else other than me, that our leather seating is not all leather. I
just found out that the back of the front seats and the side patches on all
headrests are made of vinyl. Jeez, could they have saved that much on the
material? I looked in my 95 brochure and no mention of this 'feature' is
made. My leather seats have never looked the same since that discovery .

Jose

I apologize for the rant, I justgota thing about false advertising.
