The filter is right under the front of the auto, under the engine.  It would
be fairly easy to change given that you have the right size socket, and it is
quite messy.  I have watched the mechanic do it.  Draining the oil is pretty
typical, just like any other car except it is harder to get to.  The dealers
say you can get away with an oil change every 5,000 miles for new cars with
the technology involved in today's autos and the advancements in viscosity
breakdown in modern oils.  Click & Clack have also said that today's autos are
fine to change in a little longer intervals, than the old standard of 3,000
miles.  If your car is run real hard in hot or dusty climates, then every
3,000 miles is better............
