Speed is money.  How fast would you like to go?

My reason for saying using that old saying is that without any parameters,
anything is possible with either engine, & it is almost impossible to make a
valid point for either.

For instance, I would personally be interested to see which could develop
more hp with a $1,000.00 budget using only commonly available bolt-on parts
& easy do-it-yourself tricks such as the airbox mod on the VR6.

Regardless of the outcome of such a contest, I do prefer the feel of my GLX
(cubic inches), but an A4 or Passat 1.8 would look very nice parked next to
it.
