Re: Wheels, rims and fender gaps

this is where all the fun comes in true dat!!!! one thing you MUST LOOK OUT FOR when getting 17's is the quality factor...you must get a pretty desent rim or you will bend it..do not shave cost on quality of wheels cus you will most deff bend a cheap 17. if you get some cool tires, they have a bomb rim protector. i have some dunlap sp8000(personally they dont stick enough for me, wanna go toyo t1) and i got a flat about 1 block before i got on the freeway. i was driving and hit this HUGE pothole i didnt see...didnt think anything happened, i was knida in a hurry(me and 2 buddys were racing on the freeway, and popo got one @130 mph, and the other @90 mph..i saw popo..slowed down..and broke left) so i took a couple side streets to get back on the freeway to see what was happening...after i hit the pothole and got the flat which i didnt know about i am driving on the freeway for about a mile, then decide to change lanes...one side was cool..the other side hit pretty hard..didnt think much about it till i changed lanes again....i hear that side hit hard again...i am driving about 75 mph...thinking 'was sup??' so i decided to pull over and check it out..by now i have drove almost 3 miles..when i got to the side...the tire was completely flat!! cone to find out that you could drive for 35 miles @55 mph on a flat sp8000 and it wont damage your rim..of coarse the tirs hole was not repairable....but the tire did its job....moral...get a good set of tires when you but 17" rims!!!!
geo
btw...the two guys got off scott clean(they were cops themselves)
