Several multi channel amps are available with high level inputs. Alpine
has a 25w x 4 plus 85 x 1 for the sub. Rocford Fosgate (Hafler) makes a 40
x 4 + 110 to the sub. The alpine runs in the $350 range and the Rockford
in the $480. The alpine has a crossover built in, the Rockford has "plug
in" crossovers you select for your application and purchase separately.
You can use a Monster Cable brand cable that includes the high low
converter and crossover in one cable for around $150, that can seamlessly
splice into the rear channel (or front). You will then need to buy an amp
for the sub...or you can run an 3 channel amp from the rear (or front) high
level outputs...in todays car-fi market, you have many options.
