Elimination of Daytime Running Lights!

Hi Folks
I am a new person on this list.......so excuse if this a tired subject. I
would like to eliminate daytime running lights on my new GLX.  Previously I
have accomplished this by hotwiring the handbrake switch, (meaning that the
brake warning light has been on, but covered by black tape, for the life of
my poor abused Golf).     Did I catch that someone has a source for a
better solution? (i.e. a real light switch or info as to which relay I need
to molest!)

I find that daytime running lights combined with my rather exuberant
driving style are a poor combination, the lights take away from any
possibility of high speed with stealth!
