Nice car, sounds just like mine (except for the NY emissions)..  Anyway..  I
thought I saw a '99 indentical to mine at Pray VW in Greenwich, Ct last
week.  I didn't have time to stop and look, but may be worth a call.  Also,
there is (at least there used to be) a vw dealer in Darien, Ct that
maintained a fairly healthy stock.  I'm not sure if they're still around, as
I've been away from that are for quite a while.  Another possiblilty might
be Scott VW up in Rhode Island..  They have a website at www.scottvw.com,,
and seem pretty competent.

I had bad luck with Riverbank MOtors in Stamford, Ct when I lived there, but
that was on my Alfa.  Never dealt with them on VW, but once you're soured on
a place...
