i had the same problem...took it in to the dealer...found a faulty wheel speed
sensor.  they replaced it and there was no problem since.  i had the same
excact symptoms.  the light would not be on when i start the car, but
sometimes it would.  if it wasent then minutes into the drive it would come on
sometimes going back off and coming back in later.  i took mines into the
dealer when the light was not off, but they still found the faulty wheel speed
sensor.
