Dealer racoating wheels...

Hey,

Remember a while back I was whining about the dealer scraping the
coating off around the outside lip of my BBS factory wheels while
mounting some Pirellis for me?  Well I showed the showed the service
manager and they've agreed to "Re-coat"  the wheels.

What the hell is recoating?
Is this a good thing?
Or are my BBS's going to look like some schmuck painted them in his
garage??
What should I be aware of and maybe be asking the dealer or the company
that's going to recoat the wheels?
