rear fog light wiring?

Hello all...

   I just put in my euro switch and am now anxious to wire my rear fog. 
I have questions however...

  Do you have to run wires tot he trunk?  When I put a bulb in the fog
light it lit up with the brake lights.  Therefor I figured since it is
prewired, you can just put a jumper wire somewhere?  Those of you that
have done this mod I would be interested to hear ow you did it.
