Brake Dust and BBS wheel damage

Hi All,

I was cleaning my BBS wheels on my 95 GLX yesterday and noticed that
some brake dust was sticking to the rim of the wheel, in the area of the
valve stem, but all the way around the wheel. It seems to be damaging
the finish a bit. I do clean the wheels often, but I guess not often
enough. Is there a way to clean up and get these burrowed black specks
off the finish of these wheels?? I've got a Dremal tool with a buff pad
if that's what it takes.

I've also seen some wheel waxes, something called "Blue Magic" I think,
at Pep Boy's. Are these any good for protecting against brake dust?

Thanks,

Joe
