Re: [gti-vr6] 16" vs 17" BBS wheels

Zeek:

Contrary to some other posts, I'd go with the 17's ('cause I have 17's) and
I
think they do look that much better! If you don't put any lead in your
trunk,
you won't have any rub problems using Neuspeed springs and 40 series
tires. A 35mm offset will make the wheels fit 'flush' with the fenders
(meaning
that they don't stick-out at all, but they aren't recessed either.) I can
almost
guarantee you'll poop-your-pants when you put a new set of 17's on your car!

If you do plan on doing some autocross, keep your stock wheels for that and
use your 17's for show. The 15's seem to be the best performance wheel
size,
and you wouldn't want to beat the heck out of your new wheels wether they
were16's
or 17's, so go big!

Sincerely,
Todd Taylor
